Along with designation of canopy, understory or palm, the scale of the artwork represents relative sizes of the plants at mature height. The reverse side of the poster features beautiful, full-color artistic representations of the 30 recommended regional trees. All text and illustrations support the most current arboricultural research. Preferences for soil type, salt tolerance, mature height and other tree characteristics are used to help you select a tree compatible with the planting site and appropriate for your intended purpose. The tree selection chart on the innermost fold includes detailed information on 30 recommended, regional trees. Easy-to-grasp text and illustrations guide you through the process of: Unfolding the publication reveals step-by-step guidelines and illustrations on how to select, plant and care for the right tree for the right place. So far, we already have 9 projects planned in 8 different states where you can plant a tree. The Florida Urban Forestry Council (FUFC) developed these publications for the Central, North and South Florida regions to achieve a sustainable urban forest through proper planning and planting. The folded guide provides step-by-step illustrations on how to plant the right tree for the right place. Each 8.5 x 11-inch Selecting and Planting Guide unfolds to a 22 x 34-inch poster which features beautiful, full-color artistic representations of 30 recommended, regional trees.
